Hello
I'm Esha Bhandari (You can call me Esh!) — an Interior Designer, Design Professor, and Architectural Journalist who spends equal time designing spaces and writing about them.
I believe every great design has a story worth telling. That's why I founded Journalising Designers, a platform where design meets storytelling, trends meet insights, and creativity gets a voice.
When I'm not teaching students, designing interiors, or writing articles, you'll probably find me analyzing a café's layout, admiring a clever detail, or turning design observations into content.
Designer by profession. Journalist by curiosity. Storyteller by choice.
My Story
My relationship with design started long before I became an Interior Designer. I was the kind of person who would walk into a café and notice the lighting before the menu, admire a wall finish more than the food, and secretly judge awkward furniture layouts.
What began as curiosity turned into a career in Interior Design, and eventually into teaching and Design Journalism. Somewhere along the way, I realized that while beautiful spaces catch our attention, the stories behind them are what make them memorable.
Today, I juggle three roles—Interior Designer, Design Professor, and Design Journalist. One day I'm designing a space, the next I'm teaching students why that space works, and the day after I'm writing about it.
Over the years, my work has been fortunate enough to receive awards such as Most Promising & Creative Freelance Interior Designer of the Year, Rising & Trusted Interior Design Firm of the Year, and the Golden Door Award for Excellence in Interior Design Consultancy. Apparently, spending years obsessing over layouts, materials, and tiny details does pay off!
I also founded Journalising Designers, a platform where design gets a voice. Here, I explore trends, share insights, document stories, and prove that design is much more than choosing paint colours and cushions.
Designer by profession. Professor by passion. Journalist by curiosity.
And yes, I still notice the lighting before the menu.
